Going Going Gone

I spent a few days visiting my parents with Jim and Sydney by my side. Happily we were in a hurry to do absolutely nothing. And I say we made great progress in the event of trying to live up to the term of "In a hurry to do nothing". Mom and I went to an auction of miscellaneous junk, I bought 3 rubber mallets all new for 7.50(I use them at work), a NEW bread machine without the box for 6.00 and 2 new unopened packages of tie down straps (8 total) for my little Nissan Pick Up costing me 3.00 for all. Then there was a $1.00 box that I got that had a Mr Coffee Tea Machine and two pitchers, there were other things in it such as the 2 monkey plastic mugs that still had the tags on them. After washing Sydney had to break them in by dunking some Oreo's in his milk.
Jim said he was happy to get away without his cell phone strapped to his ear, little television, and reeking in the fresh air of the scenery.
The time was to short as I enjoyed spending time with my folks, little Abbey, Beau, Aurthorette and my two little men.
It was muggy. Too Muggy and I rather prefer the fall. I did get to see the fire flies aka Lightning Bugs up there in Missouri, they did not show up in my area this year. Not even so mush as a neon green splotch on my windshield. I figured our killer mosquito's ate them. I even noticed that the Katydids did not make there June 1st showing as I am accustomed to hearing them on or about this date. The less bugs the better I say. Leave all the others but take the mosquito's!
