Lazy Hazy Summer Days

Ever get in a lazy slump? Mine always come in summer. Well, maybe not summer per say, but the heated days of the year. It came early this year. Spring was unusual with days near 90 degrees then dropped back down 2 weeks later into the 30's. Neighbors scrambling to cover planted crops of berry vines, tomato plants etc.... Farmers last week were all diligently RE-Planting all the corn crops as they yellowed away to floppy stumps in the thousands of acres that surround my home. We are now back on tract with my thermometer reading 87 yesterday. The Attic fan was noisily blowing, I am glad I had that thermostat (to the attic blower) replaced 2 years ago. I can tell the difference in the house cooling.
It often gets too hot to mow my yard and I have to do it in shifts. Drink some of our highly stinking chlorinated tap water ( I think my insides should be sparkling clean ) mow front yard, sit and cool off with more water or tea sipping, do a quarter of the back yard, sip and mow some more and so on. I tend to then save weed eating for around the 6 pm hour. This gives me time to cool off and look at what exactly needs to get hit with the fast green plastic whirly gig. Ah, just in time the sun starts to fall and I am hosing the side walk, patio and carport down with the hose to remove all trace of grass.
Does this sound like anyone else out there? Hum? I wonder.
