I parked on my usual ramp in the early a.m. hours on the way back from Nashville this morning. I woke 5 hours later to wonder where the accident was that must be somewhere behind me. There were few cars, mostly semi's, and happily only one camper trailer the whole 4 hours back home. People were just not out and I envisioned them all BBQing at home with friends and family. Others in big trucks were at work like myself. The campers that usually travel in packs of 70 year olds behind the wheels and clogging up the veins of the interstate were not paying for gas this season. I felt like the movie when people were missing and God came to take them to Heaven. I thought, wait a moment I should be there too. But instead, I came home and made a quick spaghetti dinner with Sydney refusing to eat.
I thought about taking Sydney to the Memphis Zoo tomorrow but have declined to do so since we have an OZONE warning for people to stay inside and not drive if it is not necessary. Saturday was such(what I call) a red letter day. Absolutely gorgeous; The day was about 75 degrees, moderate breeze, low (35) humidity, and not a cloud in the sky. Jupiter and the crescent Moon were out together and I pulled out my camera for a shot of the event. (I will post picture when the film comes back from being developed)
My mailman (lady) was running the mail? Humm, banks and schools were closed but the mail ran. Unusual I thought as I watched her drive to the neighbors mailbox.
