September 11th was a tragic day in United States history, that goes without saying. President Bush went through The House and Congress to set up strategies on just how to approach the terrorist. Word was after voting to attack. This process according to me was entirely way too long. But then again, if I got slapped I would not be as so kind to stand there and think about slugging that person back either. Go in and kick some ass I say. Not later but now. But we waited to long, the flies were scattering around the arid landscape abroad.
The threat of National Security not only for the US but all over the globe is always present. We sat back and waited for it to happen and it did.
Whatever happened to preventive maintenance? We do it on our cars, homes, why not our country?
Where are our spies? Remember the attack on Midway Island? The Americans knew it was coming. Our military intercepted. And on 9/11 there were reports there was to be an attack on the US. It came without interception. WHY? Because the people in Congress are sitting on their butts trying to figure out where they are going to go on their next vacation?
So now our troops and contractors are around the globe. Yes, they are dying for our country to be safe in the future. We don't like our family and friends dying there.
But imagine that if we were attacked again here in the states. How many children and other civilians would be dead then? LOTS.
Now everyone is screaming,"BRING OUR TROOPS HOME." These people are the ones who never heard their parents say," If you are going to do a half ass job then don't do it at all."
I think it is now a Civil Action due to the actions that we are trying to help another country put it's government back into force. It takes years to get things like this in order when you have oppositions to overcome.
We enjoy our freedom. Let us help others to enjoy theirs.
